Butterfly Valley

Butterfly Valley; It is a paradise area on the borders of Ölüdeniz town, which is bound to Fethiye district of Muğla province. The valley, surrounded by steep cliffs, which is 350 meters in height, hosts more than 80 butterfly species and especially Kaplan butterflies. In the village of Faralya, the waterfall, which has a source of 50 meters high and flows into the valley, provides a magnificent view. The water spilling from the waterfall mixes with the Mediterranean. The valley is isolated from the mainland by steep rocks and the sea. Protected from the negative effects of environmental pollution, this region is almost an organic park. This feature ensures that the vadin is still preserved as a butterfly habitat. Tiger butterflies are the only places in the world where they travel in colonies, although they are seen in different parts of the Butterfly Valley.
The damp and sweltering temperatures of the Mediterranean and the region are not felt in the valley. In the daytime, the breeze breezes and the current from the steep mountains during the night contribute to the positive direction over the air. The taste of the spring months is another in the region where autumn feels like summer. Baba Mountain, which is among the 100 mountains that need to be protected by the "World Heritage Conservation Foundation", has been declared a protected site by the Conservation Board for Cultural and Natural Heritage.
